Snapshot Saturday

Wow, I haven't participated in a Snapshot Saturday in over a year! Glad to see it is still going strong over at Alyce's blog, At Home with Books. Visit her page if you would like to participate.

In celebration of my two cats surviving severe health woes in 2012, I'm posting their pictures. (Plus, I'm a writer - writer's love cats!) I was inspired by the joy in Alyce's pictures of her son playing so happily with dominoes. Here are my beasts at their happiest.

    1. Hi, thanks for coming by. I like action shots, though I'm not very good (and/or my camera isn't very good) at getting them. One day I'll get a fancy camera.

  3. So glad your kitties came through 2012 in good health. I miss mine so much. It's been about 5 years since I lost them. Keep saying I'll get more, but I haven't yet. Have a great day!

    1. I'm so sorry about your cats, Frances. It is the one downside to having pets - they just aren't with us long enough. Before these two, it took me nearly ten years after losing two cats in a row to adopt again. Some of that was logistics, but some of it was needing time. Thanks for commenting.

    1. I think that was her "do not disturb me or else" look. She's in her favorite spot: hanging off my husband's knee.

    1. Hi Deb, thanks for commenting. I hope so. They are 10 years old, but I still think of them as kittens.

  9. I also have two cats ... one plays frenetically like your grey tiger and one is very standoffish and down-right crabby with strangers ... but I love them both!

    1. That's the great thing about cats, they have such individual personalities (well, dogs and birds do, too!).

  10. They sure do look like they're having fun! I'm allergic to cats, so I like birds. And tribbles.

    1. Yeah, I am allergic to cats, too. But, I had immuno-therapy (I think this is what it was called) and I can handle most cats now. I have one friend who's house I can't even enter because her cats, for some reason, are deadly to me.

My mom has a bird, but he's kind of cranky.

  12. Your cats are adorable. My cat had a huge health scare in 2012 also so I know how difficult that is. I'm so glad yours are okay. I love the last picture.

    1. Sorry to hear that, Jess. Pet health-scares are a nightmare...and expensive. It was a long few months.
